The Jewish and biblical traditions say that God is just, Justice comes from God. Therefore, the doctrine of retribution is the moral principle by which the world is guided; the execution of this doctrine is by the just God. On the contrary, Aristotle, a Greek philosopher, says that the justice comes from the “King of Philosophy”, the legislator, who is well philosophically educated and teaches people to get what they pursue—Good in lawfulness and fairness. This article tries to illustrate the differences and similarities of the concept of Justice in the Nicomachean Ethics and the Book of Job, and to find out Justice that comes from God or human beings? Is human’s justice more supreme than a Just God’s? |

"Jian Ai" is a major system of the philosophy of Mozi, a Chinese philosopher who advocates the equality of humans. Jian Ai is practical: it not only exhorts to care for needy people but also to avoid any activity that may hurt others. There is similarity with Jesus’ teaching of “loving others”. Nevertheless the essence of “love” in both concepts are different especially with regard to salvation. |

Qi (breath) is a major part of the Chinese philosophy. Numerous Chinese philosophers and religion experts published their thoughts regarding this subject. Most of them are valuable and worthy of study. Some famous ancient literature stated that Qi is source of life and being. Some stressed that Qi comes from Cosmos or Yuan, the highest being. We know from revelation of the Bible that Ruah (Spirit) is the source of being. Ruah was sent by and was with YHWH in the beginning. Is Ruah in the Bible identical to the Qi in Chinese Literature? This article tries to illuminate the relationship, similarity and differences between Ruah and Qi. |
